Overview

When journalist and author Lt. Col. Daniel Cheras (Retired) begins investigating efforts to reunify the City of Anaheim, he never expects to uncover a web of Chinese espionage that threatens to tear apart the fabric of the United States. As he delves deeper into the tangled web of intrigue, he realizes that the People's Republic of China has seized control of a U.S. city and is using it as a foothold for its nefarious activities and widespread insurgency.

With tensions mounting and a race war on the horizon, billionaire genius Calvin Mayer steps up to the plate with a plan to suppress the Chinese influence and bring peace to a troubled nation. But as his transformative technologies gain acclaim and the U.S. government's response flails, questions begin to arise about Mayer's true intentions. Is he truly a hero, or is he using the situation as a platform to increase his own power and influence?

As Cheras races against time to uncover the truth and prevent catastrophe, he finds himself caught in a dangerous game of chess with far-reaching implications that have even embroiled Cheras' son and his entire social circle. Will Cheras be able to unravel the Chinese insurgency before it's too late? Will Mayer's transformative technologies save the day, or will they ultimately prove to be a double-edged sword? Find out in this gripping tale of power, politics, and betrayal.
