ALL MY MEN
ALL MY MEN

At a time when so many African American men are often cast in a negative light in much of the media, “ALL MY MEN” articulates a side of many of these men one does not see or hear about. Compassionate, courageous, determined, inspirational are some of the words that describe the men mentioned in this passionately written work of art.

The book is a celebration of the impact numerous African American men have had on the author’s life and her impact on their lives and life decisions. Full of love for the Creator of all things and for the humanity that He created, nothing is spared in this inspiring demonstration of the healing power of love in our life.

Book excerpts: “My heart has been touched so many times by the sensitivity of the men I now write about. Some caused what I called, labeled pain before I understood and decided to look at the lessons differently. There is undoubtedly confusion, unmet dreams, an inability to express the deepest thoughts and feelings we have. This I believe is the root cause of my having to somehow place blame on someone else to justify my own pain and lack of understanding”

“Men from all walks of life have shared with me. Young men, old men, black men, white men, Asian and Hispanic men, professional men, blue collar and laborers. Family men, career criminals, homosexuals, the corner/neighborhood drunk or wine-o as we called them as kids. All chose to share with me as only they knew how. They all chose protect me, in the way they knew how, they all loved me and today that is simply enough to keep me going and loving them in return.”

“ALL ME MEN” is written by a woman who has used her life listening intently to the many voices of men. Listening to the words they were often unable to speak audibly to the other significant ones they were entwined with. The author has a true gift in regard to providing men with an environment in which they can just open up and reveal their innermost feelings and thoughts. These thoughts are summarized for you in this collection of art.
