Back in 1956, the journal Siberian Lights published a lyrical story by Anatoly Ivanov about the young Siberian collective farmer Alka Uralova, about her sad and joyful songs, about her bright and pure love. It was this story that became the starting point, the beginning of the fruitful and diverse work of the famous writer.
