About the Author

Levi H Makala was born in Zambia. His elementary, primary and secondary school years were spent in Livingstone and Canisius College, Chikuni, Zambia respectively. He became a graduate student at the University of Zambia where he withdrew to take veterinary medicine and science in the USSR (Krasnodar, Russia and Kiev, Ukraine).
He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Veterinary Medicine and Science (MVSc) at the National Agricultural University of the Ukraine 1982-1988, Ph.D. at the University of Bristol, Bristol, UK, 1993-1996 and MBA at Augusta University, Augusta, GA USA (2006-2009).
Dr. Levi loves writing children’s books. He feels as though he is going back in time and writing his own history every time he sits down to write to younger readers.
It is hoped that his childhood experiences will encourage the little ones to have perspective when they are navigating life. They should know that they are not alone but in the hands of an Almighty God. God knows each one of us before we are born, and He has good plans for all of us if we choose Him.
Erik and Loretta Emmons, friends of Levi and his family, listened to the stories and Loretta transcribed them into written book form. She then illustrated the book from the descriptions that Levi gave as he recounted each and every event.
