Overview

From late 2021 to all of 2022, Alina Lee wrote and published one short story a week on her blog. These stories ranged from fantasy adventures like What is Promised or The Sword Collector to genre mashups like the cyberpunk-wuxia hybrid Oathbreaker or science fantasy yarn A Final Insult. She also wrote stories that were designed like character snapshots and sketches, such as The Tired Commuter and Abby. Her stories also explored human relationships and the complications inherent to them in stories like In the Rain and Mountains to Climb.

For the first time, the majority of these stories are now in a single compilation, organized by genre or according to the recurring worlds that appear in her stories. This compilation also contains additional stories that have not been published before.

About the Author

Alina Lee is a fan of the fantasy genre and tabletop RPG player, dabbles occasionally in video games, and watches more educational youtube content than most people expect. It prefers to write the kinds of stories it enjoys reading or things that just strike it as something worth writing. This means it is mostly small-scale, non-standard fantasy.

It may or may not be a very private komodo dragon.
