Alice's firstborn, Buck, is a shy and quiet child. He is different from other children his age; not the one to talk or indulge in any other activities the children his age do. As Buck gets older, Alice notices the indifference in Buck's behavior since he is old enough to talk and still struggles to put his thoughts into words and barely says a word. As time goes by and Alice gets more worried, she seeks professional help, only to find that Buck suffers from a developmental disability.
Alice struggles to navigate the uncertainty and come to terms with the fact that her expectations of who her son might become and the fantasies she had about her son may never come to fruition. However, Alice does not give up on Buck and does everything in her power to help him navigate life despite his issues.
This is a story about a mother's journey who always remained by her child's side to make him better in all aspects of life.
