About the Author

Dr. André Lapierre Pardo is a retired Thespian (Playwright-Director). He taught Kreyòl and English in numerous New York and Florida institutions. In his crusade, he instructed illiterate and semi-illiterate adults in ESL (English as a Second Language), TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), EFL (English as a Foreign Language), BNL (Basic Native Language), and more. For many years he taught at the FHBC (Flatbush Haïtian Bilingual Center) [1994-1996] and was Program Director for Adult Literacy @ COHD (Community Organization of Haïtians in Diaspora; NY) [1997-1998]. Dr. Pardo is a New York Board of Education, Div. of Adult and Community Education licensed No. 708831 [June 7, 1994]. In addition, he has taught at Broward College's RENEW Refugee program since 2003. His pen name as a prolific author is Bob Lapierre.
