Mr. Smith graduated with honors from high school. He then earned a Business Administration degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. Also, Smith attended Georgetown and George Washington Universities in the District of Columbia. His education in religious schools and universities included more college theology courses than most clergy. He, of course, taught Sunday school. As a senior in college, he worked full-time as a credit reporter for Dun and Bradstreet.

While working at IBM as a computer systems analyst/programmer, he taught computer classes and wrote numerous user manuals. F. Byron Smith is enrolled in a Master of Fine Arts program at Southeastern Louisiana University. He loves dogs, sailboats, and small aircraft (private pilot).


F. Byron Smith has published a modern-day fictional Christian novel: “The Way-Just Call Me Josh;” a rewrite of Genesis in street language: “Genesis Lovingly Revised;” and morality-based short stories in a book named “Aftermath Discussions.”


Just call him ”Smitty.”
