About the Author

Willa L. Roberson-Mitchell, Author/Interior Designer, was born and raised on a Dakota Sioux Reservation where the Medicine Wheel philosophy was an integral part of her life. She holds an Applied Science Degree in the field of Interior Design, B.S. in Family Counseling and M.A. in Counseling & Guidance. Author has lived and practiced her professions in the U.S., Japan and Europe. Her life journey to Japan offered vast knowledge and experience in the art of feng shui, while travel throughout the African Diaspora has led insight into the ancient wisdom of the African Medicine Wheel. Author offers vast experience in residential/commercial interior design and has written columns for international design magazines on the subject of interior design, feng shui and sacred space. Creating Lifespace in the Ways of the African Medicine Wheel is a first book of her Medicine Wheel Series. The Native American Medicine Wheel and The Japanese Lifespace Decoder, followed in literary works and are featured at International Book Fairs in London, Frankfurt, New York City and Cape Town. In representing her cultural heritage, the African and Native American Medicine Wheel share a present day understanding of her ancestral philosophy and techniques for creating sacred space. It is her vision that the principles of the Medicine Wheel will become one's journey "once less traveled - now more often" in creating harmony and balance in the home.
