The author, who maintains a daily journaling practice kept a journal of stories as she and Byron shared a home, traveled and reached the time to make a tough decision across the 18 years they were together. As the author journaled her thoughts she wrote as if Byron was speaking to her. "As I watched Byron over the years with much enjoyment, it was his eyes looking back at mine that I realized these were his words not mine."
