About the Author

Mary L. Kahl is Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Penn State University, the Behrend College, where she holds an appointment as Professor in the Department of Communication.

Michael J. Hostetler taught courses in history and criticism of American public address at St. John’s University until his recent retirement.
