About the Author

John H. Briant, born in Theresa, New York, moved to Syracuse during the late 1930's, then to Throopsville, New York, where he graduated from Port Byron Central School in 1948.
He served three years and three months with the 27th Infantry Division until 1950 when he entered the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, serving in Keflavik, Iceland. In 1953 he became a member of the New York State Police where he served in Troop "D" and Troop "B" first in uniform and then as a member of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation. After retiring he served in the banking sector for seven years. A life-long learner he received his B.S. Degree from the State University of New York. He resides in the Adirondack Park of New York State. He is a published poet and writer of short stories.
