Overview

Deep in the dark below the surface of the mountain, a pharma company has developed a phosphorus fruit that provides a renewable energy source for humans. This fruit has the potential to eliminate some incurable illnesses. But it might, just as easily, kill!

Adam soon becomes caught up in a secret mission to rescue his island. He has only seven days to stop the company from stealing the island's supplies of fresh water and the energy from ancient trees to grow the phosphorus fruit.
This unpredictable adventure opens a mystical door of nature to Adam, which allows him to discover a new dimension and cross a barrier to reveal unseen forces of nature.

The events of this thriller are spontaneous and promote a sense of belonging as well as provoking children's curiosity for their everyday surroundings. This story sends a strong message that our existence and security depend on our protection of nature. Reader age 9-12 years old.

About the Author

I hold a BSc in Nutrition from Oxford Brookes University and a PGCert in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from University College London. I have also completed a two-year university course in Education and Psychology.
My recent children’s book 'Adam and The Invisible Riddle' was inspired by the reality of climate change, and its negative impact on global food security. Living on three continents during my upbringing was the main inspiration for the natural setting of the story.
