Achieving The Dream of Homeownership Early In Your Life: A Step by Step Guide to Buying a House
Owning a home of your own is a wonderful experience. I'm sure most people would like to own a home of their own but are too afraid there is going to be a tremendous amount of money that is needed. Some are afraid of the responsibility of homeownership. There is down payment and closing cost assistance available.
Down payment could be as low as 3%, and some other fees can be payable at closing. That gives you at least two months from the time you sign the contract until you must come up with the rest of the money. And there's help that can lower your 3%.
There's free housing counseling, homebuying education courses, individual and group sessions available to you.
Owning a home is so much more pleasurable than renting. When you own your own home, you possess a sense of pride, and excitement. You're proud of where you live and don't mind the work it takes to keep your house looking good.
You're more apt to invite guests over and show off your new house. Your house gives you more rooms to decorate, more rooms for storage, more room for play.
This book will guide you step-by-step from deciding if homeownership is right for you until you get the keys and move into your new home and the steps in between.
I also include Section 8 Homeownership. If you want details about purchasing a home with your section 8 Homeownership Voucher, please purchase "Affordable Homes and Apartments Presents Buy a Home With Your Section 8 Homeownership Voucher" available on kdp.amazon, barnes and nobles and www.housingandemergencyservicesforlowincomepeople.com
If you want more information about grants, subsidy grants, down payment and closing cost assistance, homebuyer education and counseling, please purchase my book "Free Money for Homebuyers" also available on kdp.amazon, barnes and nobles and www.housingandemergencyservicesforlowincomepeople.com

About the Author

I’ve been licensed as a Real Estate Broker for 25 years. I started out as a 7A Administrator for the NYC Housing Preservation & Development.
A 7A Administrator is a Court Appointed Building Manager. I located run-down buildings, organized the tenants, petitioned the court to have the landlord removed from active management of his/her own building and be appointed as a 7A Administrator.
Once appointed, bring the building up to code compliance with the collected rent roll. At which time, the tenants would purchase their building as a low-income, tenant-owned co-op.
I’ve written real estate books listed at the beginning of this book. “Tenant’s Rights vs. Slumlords – Win in Housing Court” documents my experience as a 7A Administrator. The name was changed when I updated the book. The original names were “Fundamentals of Real Estate and Real Estate and Investment Strategies” Volume I; and “Fundamentals of Housing and Community Strategies” Volume II. Still available under the original title. Volume II was updated to Tenants Rights.
These two volume books were written at a time when a lot of run-down buildings were an eye sore. My books started selling like hotcakes and I began doing investors seminars.
I was a sales agent then. I wasn’t working for any real estate company. I bought a three-family house, lived in it for 3 years, managed it, sold it, then moved back to NYC, and got my Broker’s License. I went directly from Sales Agent to Property Management to Brokerage Firm.
I’m also licensed to preach and ordained as a minister. I possess my PhD in Sacred Biblical Studies. I have authored several inspirational books as well.
