Sharon doesn't talk about her profound near-death experience any more, because instead of relating to it as if it was something miraculous that happened once upon a time, long ago, she strives to live it in every miraculous moment and to become that shining being of pure love she was during her NDE. She experiences herself as an immense being of Light and Love, and a living, breathing presence of the Divine on Earth. She uses her life, both real and "enhanced" by creative storytelling, to create, not so much a novel, as a modern day parable.
Sharon is a published non-fiction author; and has a background in journalism and editing among her literary accomplishments. This is her first foray into full-length "bio-fiction".
She was co-founder and co-coordinator for Austin, TX chapter of the International Association for Near-Death Studies, and ran that as a nonprofit for 20 years, during which time she met hundreds of individuals who can start a sentence with, "When I died...". She has an accredited B.A. in Anthroposophy (Spiritual Science of Rudolf Steiner) and an M.S. in Community Health & Wellness Promotion. She is a certified Trainer/Mentor with the Center for Soulful Living, a certified Waldorf teacher and Curative educator, and has worked with thousands in private sessions, in public, charter and private schools, school districts and regions, and leads workshops on learning, motivation, personal growth and, increasingly, on living a life with a foot in two worlds, the mystical and the practical. She is a gifted intuitive guide healer who works with people from all walks of life, from profoundly challenged physically, to those dealing with PTSD or emotional and spiritual challenges.
Her friend and mentor, Bill Bauman, quipped that a good description of her would be “Dimensions Are Us”.
