Elsewhere, Euphrates Destidante--Advisor to one of the most powerful Humans in the universe--holds a secret close to his chest: he is the head of a sprawling criminal empire, one that deals in resources, secrets, and the occasional murder. But over the years, his greed has developed into a new passion to protect and develop the Human race at any cost.

One day, Archimedes, Caesar, and Grey come across a job transporting a small parcel over a short distance... with a MASSIVE payout. It's enough money to fix the myriad problems plaguing theSearcher with enough left over to keep them well-fed and afloat for a while. It seems almost too good to be true.

Before they know it, the Searcher finds itself pursued across the universe by bandits and bounty hunters, each looking to take the mysterious package for their own reasons.
