Abrefi experiences her menarche – the first occurrence of menstruation. However, she is unprepared for this experience. Her teacher uses the experience to educate the class on menstruation.

It is a good read which encourages girls to freely talk about menstruation and debunk notions of menstruation as a taboo topic.
