Overview

Ever hear the notion that Science and Religion are in two different worlds, and they have nothing to say about each other?
Well, that's just pure BALONEY!
Come with me on a journey through Science. We will have a fun time seeing God in Science, hopefully while not getting buried alive in technical details.
Is there a more important question than "Does God exist?" This is a lighthearted journey through a seriously profound subject.
I hope and pray that you will enjoy this tour. I'll be tickled pink to be your fearless dummy guide.

About the Cover, according to the Author.

The background is the Magellanic Cloud, a picture of a nearby Galaxy. The picture of me is "Thinker II," my representation of Auguste Rodin's sculpture "The Thinker" with a few subtle differences. Can you find some?

- I'm wearing a Dunce Cap vs. his being bareheaded.
- His head rests on the backside of his hand vs. my hands
being folded, as in prayer.
- I decided against posing nude. I'm dumb, but not
that dumb.

About the Author

Gene claims he was born dumb; he couldn’t even find his way out. So he figures he’s uniquely qualified to write About Us Dummies.
Growing up in a very conservative Christian family, he became a staunch Believer, loving God while holding Science at arm’s length, particularly with its concepts like Evolution, dinosaurs, and billions of years. But he still liked much about Science, too.
A good college friend, Joe, introduced Gene to the exciting and cheap hobby of running around Central Indiana collecting fossils. That led Gene into a lifelong interest in the fit of Science to his religion.
After struggling through school and past bullies, “slow” Gene graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree. Then he could pursue his ambition to be an inventor, while continuing to hunt fossils and discover that Science does fit with his religion very well.
Now, something of an old geezer, Gene wants to share the happiness and excitement of his lifelong discovery, Finding God in Science.
