A Wolf Age, The Great Prince

A Wolf Age – The Great Prince.

The following is a historical novel, based on facts, sagas and legends handed down through the ages regarding two teenage boys who lived in Northern Europe during the latter part of the tenth century.

Born into royal families, hundreds of miles from each other, they were forced to flee their homelands when their fathers were killed. Struggling with loss of family, home and basic support systems and thrust into a violent world, they somehow survived. Incredibly these two boys met and became good friends...and even more incredibly, as they grew into manhood, they fought alongside one another, until eventually, each one made it back to their homeland and with the odds stacked against them, they achieved fantastic success.

This is the story of Olaf Tryggvason, King of Norway and Vladimir Svyatoslav, the Great Prince of Russia – two real historical figures who became the rulers of powerful kingdoms at the turn of the tenth century.

The second book in the series, A Wolf Age – The Great Prince, continues to follow the young teenage boys, Olaf, Vladimir, and Blod, as they grow into manhood. Working their way back to Kievan Rus, Vladimir has a plan to win back his rightful place as a Prince of Russia. A major part of his plan involves his new friends and allies, the fierce Norsemen – wielding them like a hardened steel club. The Norse, now under the leadership of young Olaf, always looking for adventure and the spoils of war, are eager to jump into the fray. However, they did not reckon on the vast ambition that lurks in Vladimir's heart – nor the vast amount of blood, hardship and tragedy that they would suffer to satisfy Vladimir's thirst as they roam the equally vast Russian lands.

Only the Gods know the bloody price that must be paid for Vladimir Svyatoslav to become...The Great Prince!
