About the Author

This is DeNeece Butler's first novel. At almost eighty years old, it is the fulfillment of one of the items on her bucket list. The story is set in two of her favorite places, the mountains of North Carolina and Alaska. She explains, "I didn't know when I started out exactly what the story would be.
