A Voice at the Table: Discover the lesson learned and empower all voices to be heard.
"A Voice at the Table" is an opportunity for all people, leadership, team members and any stakeholder with skin in the game/process to learn from what's been done to improve what will be done. For each voice to share their unique perspective and feel heard. Too often businesses or collaborative teams fail to learn from what they've done. Leading to a continuous cycle of repeating bad ideas, lengthy processes or poor use of time and worse yet, employee frustration and burnout. Leadership and management fail to take that needed time to pause and learn, which doesn't allow for all of the participant's voices to be heard. This will lead to valuable employees becoming unengaged and going through the work day and week simply checking the box. Or, worse yet, having those former "A+" players leaving for other opportunities. The power of this book is that it shares real world data and insight into the benefits of giving our team members a voice, an opportunity to be heard. When we actively listen to all of the experiences of our team members we are building a culture of respect and collaboration. The After-Action Review allows all team member's perspectives of an event or project to be shared, discussed and even respectfully debated. It gives everyone a voice at the table.
