CHAPTER 1
This is me and my grandpa. I'm seven here, and grandpa? Well, he is really old.
My grandpa and I loved baseball. I'd play and he would come and cheer me on even if it rained. Grandpa was my biggest fan.
Sometimes after my baseball games, he would take me out for ice cream and tell me about when he was a kid or as he called it, "the good ol' days".
We even liked to sit on his front porch together. He would talk and I would listen.
I remember this time grandpa and I went fishing and he would talk to me about grandma. I asked him if he missed her. He said yes, but grandma was still with him and that true love never dies.
It wasn't long after one of our fishing trips that grandpa started getting sick. It was ok though because everyday after school I would go to his house and visit him.
That was until he went into the hospital. At that time, all I knew was that the grown ups were the only ones allowed in to see him.
One day I went to the hospital to see him and he wasn't there. Everyone was really sad and my mom was crying. It was that day I learned grandpa went to be with grandma.
