A Tyrant's Whisper
The most powerful country in the world is about to have its, seemingly, impenetrable peace and stability torn away by the followers of an enigmatic figure, known simply as Preacher. He recruits the empire's poor and disaffected; building a movement intent on tearing down a system he sees as tyrannical. Teridon Jace had always been reckless, but when that recklessness finally catches up to him; he is forced to choose between his future and saving a friend. He did not expect that this decision would change his life forever. He is shocked when his actions impress an influential man who offers him a job. While unqualified, he allows a sense of duty to overwhelm his apprehension. He tries, his best, to learn the job; while, in Capuamundi, the empire's capital, the movement, which holds his benefactor up as the embodiment of the system's tyranny, continues to grow. As it does, it begins to fester and metastasize, threatening to explode into a revolution that will jeopardize his mentor, the city, and, ultimately, an empire. As the burgeoning movement finds its legs, it begins to openly threaten Teridon's benefactor. As Teridon races to find the movement's leader, he is forced to make a decision that will reverberate throughout the empire, and, even worse, his own conscious. The fate of millions will hinge on the decisions of Teridon, who is completely unprepared for the duty that has been foisted upon him.

About the Author

A native to New England, I grew up in Connecticut. I moved to Vermont for college, and I have been here ever since. I have been a lifelong fan of all things fantasy. My infatuation started with C.S Lewis's "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe." I wish there was a great story about how I discovered it, but, in truth, it was part of a reading assignment. Even so, it grabbed me like no other book had, and I read it over and again. My next taste of the genre was at my sixth grade book fair, when I bought R.A. Salvatore's "Streams of Silver". I chose the book for a great reason, it had a cool cover, but the story hooked me. I devoured books, staying up until the small hours to read "just a little more." I always wanted to be the name on the cover and to shape a story arc to my liking, and now I am taking the leap. Beyond books, I am a black belt in Kempo Karate, love watching my New York Mets in the summer, Giants in the fall and Rangers in the winter and spring.
