Overview

Tex Hammond is a young man with a secret. A secret he's trying very hard to run away from. Then one cold, rainy day, Tex finds himself stranded in the little town of Redemption. Just when things seem to be at their darkest, along comes Martha Tucker, a retired schoolteacher. With her purple galoshes, a thermos full of black coffee, and a bag of Styrofoam cups, Martha reaches out to Tex. In so doing, she sets off a chain of events that will help lead Tex Hammond on a personal journey of faith. A journey that will help Tex realize it's time to stop running, and start trusting.

About the Author

Jodi lives with her husband Steven, and their dog Elliott, in the little town of Placerville, California. She and her husband love exploring God’s creation. They enjoy camping, hiking and kayaking. They have two beautiful daughters, one talented son-in-law, and three amazing grandchildren. Jodi works as a paraeducator where she has the pleasure of teaching young students to read. As an active member of the Lord’s church, Jodi enjoys teaching in the children’s Bible classes. Oh, and yes…she does have a pair of purple galoshes!
