About the Author

Kyle Pratt is the bestselling author of speculative and science-fiction books. He grew up in the mountains of Colorado. When money for college ran low he enlisted in the United States Navy. While serving on various ships he wrote military science fiction and short stories. After retiring, Kyle taught Yupik Eskimo students in the Alaskan village of Eek for seven years. During the cold nights, he wrote his first full-length novel, Titan Encounter and then Through Many Fires. Today, he lives with his wife, Lorraine, of over thirty-six years on a small farm in western Washington state where he writes full-time.
