A Swarm of Locusts
Centuries have passed since the first seeds of humanity were sown across the final frontier, and the League of Arterra has established itself as the premier power of the galactic Mid Rim. With riches reaped in remote asteroid belts through the whirring of drills and the ambition of miners, the aetherium industry is booming, and has drawn the attention of powers with the most malicious of intentions, hell-bent on seizing what they believe to be rightfully theirs. In this third volume of Aethertales, the bloodthirsty Shatarins have spread terror and death in their wake, all with the approval of the blindly apologetic Caspians who have betrayed their own kind; A Swarm of Locusts is the tale of those who fight to preserve what they have earned, against the hateful parasites that would stop at nothing to destroy everything they have built and hold dear.

About the Author

Joseph (Joey) D’Urso and Eugene Bryan, the politically incorrect creators of The Aetherverse and Aethertales, first met at Binghamton University in 2008. Joey, a born-and-raised New Yorker, received a BA in the Arabic language. Eugene, a so-called Florida man, obtained two BAs in History and Political Science, and later obtained his MS in Mass Communications at FIU.

Even during their time at college, Joey and Eugene spoke out against the absurdity of modern politics by contributing to the Binghamton Review, Binghamton University’s student-run free speech magazine. Eugene even received open calls for violence against him by his triggered classmates. With articles such as “LASU: SA-Sponsored Terrorism?” and “You Call This Culture? LASU’s Dirty Secret,” it was only a matter of time before someone was offended.

Sharing a love of satire and science fiction, Joey and Eugene decided to sit down and write an epic novel in their spare time. What started as a fun hobby quickly became a massive project, and as their sci-fi universe grew, so did their ambition. With a culture war raging all around them, they created The Aetherverse to bring some common sense to a world gone mad – and to stir the pot just a little in the name of free speech.
