A story a day keeps you fresh all day
My, Primary and KG-class grandchildren, like other children, were fond of listening stories. I narrated several stories to them and one day an idea came to my mind. I asked them to make out lists of all animals, birds, fruits and vegetables which they could remember and I would give them their introduction and would also formulate for them short stories about each object.
They jointly made out that list and I created short stories for them with brief description of each item. I wrote down those stories so that they could read themselves to improve their vocabulary and knowledge about those items. This worked out well.
Children would find interesting, simple and short stories of different things which they usually see in their homes as well as in TV programs and would be able to understand each item by seeing the images and the meanings given in the end of each caption.
