About the Author

Colonel (retired) Mike Kershaw teaches military decision making as part of the Army's Leader Training Program at the Joint Readiness Training Center. Entering the service from Huffman, Texas, he commissioned in 1984 from West Point as an infantry officer. He served 34 years on active duty including company, battalion and brigade command in combat. He resides in San Antonio with his wife and bird dogs.
