Death, exhaust fumes, and cannibalism, all at a hundred miles per hour! Rhest, street merc, freelancer, and all-around problem-eliminator, is called to the small town of Amboy in the middle of nowhere, California. They've got a problem: they're about to be the target of a raiding party by a roving clan of murderers. If they attack, it will be a vicious assault the likes of which the civilized world can scarcely conceive. And when it's over, there won't even be enough left to be called rubble. But as Rhest prepares to repel or, better yet, dissuade the attack all together, he learns Amboy might not be what it seems. Something sinister is lurking in the shadows of the seemingly peaceful town. But can Rhest deal with it and an army of low-tech highwaymen who will do what they want, when they want, however they want? Hell comes for every man, but it doesn't usually come on a souped-up engine with low-riding tires and a flamboyant spoiler. But then, Hell doesn't usually face a cybernetic street merc with six guns, three brains, and a bad attitude. Then again, it's just Tuesday.
