About the Author

The author of this book spent forty-six years working as a police officer. First in the United States Air Force, and then working in a variety of positions, for several municipal departments in the state of Vermont.

He was honest, dedicated and hardworking. He was described by his peers as one of the "ten percenters" and "over achievers", quickly advancing, being promoted and receiving recognition for meritorious service and outstanding achievements.

During his forty-six-year police career, he spent twenty-four years as a detective, a detective sergeant, a lieutenant, a commander in the criminal investigation division. For the last fifteen-years of his law enforcement career, the author was an accomplished and celebrated Police Chief in Northern Vermont.
The author attended college on nights and weekends during the time that he spent serving as a police officer, obtaining an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and General Business Management. The author is also a graduate of the FBI, National Academy, Class of 2002, Section 208.

He is a happily married family man, with four adult children and five grandchildren. He plays the guitar and loves to vacation with his wife in the Caribbean.
