Donna Y. McGee is a wife, mother and nana who loves to teach through story telling. She has earned a Master’s degree in Educational Policies, a credentialed in Special Education specializing reading&Math and is now working towards her JD specializing in Special Education Law.
She has written several books for children; including Faith Without the Fluff, The Sower, I can Imagine, the Opossums in Maya’s Kitchen&The Great Invitation… Her desire is to increase the use of cognitive strategies and to motivate children to become better readers, develop stronger vocabulary and to build and use positive social skills in their everyday lives.
She resides in Northern California with her husband Jerome. They have four adult children and their “grandpeople” Jada, Jerome III, and Taren.
