About the Author

Lorraine Witte was born to Chinese immigrants who came to Hawaii in the 1930s. In her formative years she spent her days with her father in his restaurant and grocery store where she learned skills that would take her through adulthood.
She is a teacher, the owner of Lorraine Lee Foods, consultant to other food companies, former TV actress during the 1960s, spokeswoman for Chung King Foods, author and writer for cookbooks and articles. She once worked as a top secret design engineer for the Air Force. Currently she teaches community and private cooking classes, as well as being active with her Instagram, Twitter and over 50 cooking videos on YouTube.
She's charming and witty and known all around as THE CHINESE LADY.
