Overview

According to the author, for the past 20 years in the church world and in the business world, many great marriages and families have fallen apart. Leaders have failed to give their followers and supporters closure about what really happened in their marriages. Especially in the church world, many are left hanging and hurting because they have lost trust. Destiny Boaz, a pastor's wife, is the first to bring out a true, open, honest and transparent story to let her readers know why and how her own marriage fell apart. She believes that healing must take place in the lives of God's people. Closure is very important for one to move forward. This book will appeal to readers, men as well as women, because the home is in trouble and marriages are in trouble. Sometimes they feel something is wrong but they are unable to put their finger on it. This book will help them identify why the intimacy in their marriage is over, why the communication in the relationship is dying, why the intimacy goes cold and the passion dies. CHAPTER 1

Your Bondage is your Personal Spiritual Condition

Your bondage is your personal spiritual condition and should be handled apart from your calling. Most of the times, when I try to address the issues with Ministers, even my ex-husband Hosea; they would say God is using them powerfully. Yes, but God is using you in your calling but that's different from your bondage. Many Ministers mistaken God using them to mean they are in good standing with Him, instead of dealing with their personal bondage. If you don't deal with your bondage it will arise and choke your call and will affect your salvation. What you are unwilling to master will eventually master you.

Let us quickly look at some scriptural statements that would help us to get a clearer picture of what is really required of believers to complete their course and gain the prize. 1 Cor. 9:24-26

1. Every born again believer has entered a race that will determine where You spend your eternity.

2. The church must understand that the adversary of our soul has one objective and that is, to prevent you from running this race – not even to make one step forward.

3. The church needs to understand that to be able to run this race, you must overcome/be victorious over your bondages.

Rev. 3:4-5

4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

4. Our Christian life is really not about our gifts and callings for these have been freely given by God and without repentance. Ro.11:29

5. The body of Christ seems to be unaware of the following:

i. That we are in a life and death struggle, that every day of our lives, 24/7, we are wrestling with principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

ii. We have been commanded of the Lord to put on the whole armor of God so that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

iii. Without the armor of righteousness, we are no match for these powers as they would surely block us from running the race of life, that is, to allow us to be freed from our bondages. By this I mean, every issue you successfully overcome means you are running the race and staying within the parameters of the faith, of the full gospel of Jesus Christ. Eph 6:10-18

6. At our born again experience, we were quickened alive in the spirit only, that is, our human spirit was immersed into the Spirit of Christ.

Gal 3:27; John 3:3, 5, 6; 2 Cor. 3:3

7. Once born again, we were immediately drafted into the army of Christ. 2 Tim 2:3, 4. Not only to be saved but to be given the responsibility to work out our own soul salvation in becoming soldiers of the cross, i.e., to cleanse yourself from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit so that you can walk perfect in holiness and in the fear of God. 2 Cor. 7:1

8. We all have become "soldiers in the making." Once we have given our hearts to Christ, we are duty bound to please Christ who has chosen us to become soldiers.

9. Every soldier THAT WARRETH does not entangle himself, that is, he is not to have any part in this evil world's system. He must die to the passions and interests of this world. Gal 6:14

10. The believer should understand that we are required to mortify the flesh if we are to successfully engage our arch enemy and overcome him as we run the race of life. Eph 6:10-18

11. To run the race of life and stay within the parameters of the faith, as Paul did, you should be thoroughly familiar with the wiles and strategies of your enemy. 1 Cor. 9:25-27

12. You should learn how to use the weapons of your warfare which are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of the STRONGHOLDS of lust, pride, anger, perversion, rejection and the list goes on and on.

13. The church should know that every born again believer who receives Christ, to them, he gave POWER to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: The above scripture confirms that we are in a battle and we have no option but to fight the good fight of faith and lay hold to eternal life. John 1:12, 1 Tim 6:12

14. Sonship as seen in John 1:12 (complete salvation) is only attained as you learn how to exercise the power and authority Christ gave us to bring us from spiritual babes all the way to Christian maturity. (full stature of Jesus Christ – Christian character) This has all to do with us running the race and completing our course and gaining the prize. 1 Peter 2:1, 2; Eph 4:13

15. This maturity is mandatory for all believers and can only be attained through a process of deliverance which requires that we engage the enemy in intense spiritual warfare on a daily basis to ensure that not only are we freed from our bondages but this freedom is maintained as we become sons of God. 2 Tim 2:20, 21; 2 Cor. 7:1, 2

16. Sonship is only attained after a spiritual battle has been waged and we have been victorious, we are now ready to be used by the master. 2 Tim 2:20, 21

17. Jesus Christ, in Luke 9:23, gave clear conditions which confirms all that has been said so far to all believers who chose to become his disciples. (All those that run the race and stay on course).

18. Our Christian life (the race) based off all the above statements, makes it clear that the ministry of Jesus Christ is not simply operating in our giftings, (the healing ministry, the prophetic, etc.) But it has to do with building a solid relationship with Christ as we aggressively engage the enemy in intense spiritual warfare and to be victorious in the process. Victory over anger, lust, pride, witchcraft, generational issues, soul-ties, etc. enables us to build or shape Christian character so that a relationship with Christ becomes real as we are set free to become sons. 2 Cor. 7:1, 2; 2 Tim 2:21; Gal 5:24; Heb 2:11.

19. Sons of God are overcomers, they all would have run the race and finished their course and therefore will reign with Christ. Rev. 21:7

20. Paul confirms the above as he tells us how to maintain our relationship as sons of God by aggressively whipping the flesh into obedience. He makes clear; this operation had to be a daily one if he was to complete his course and gain the prize – and not to become a CAST AWAY. (still holding on to pride, anger, lust, lying, exaggerations, spiritual adultery, greed, etc.) 1 Cor. 9:25:27

21. Paul is making it clear in this passage, that God will USE ALL OF PAULS GIFTINGS AND WORK MIGHTY MIRACLES THROUGH HIM AND AT THE END, HE COULD LOSE HIS SOUL SALVATION).

22. So his focus was on killing the flesh, dealing with character flaws: lust, perversion, witchcraft, generational curses, pride, ungodly soulish relationships, etc., so that after God worked all these miracles through him, he would be assured of his soul salvation. This is what God is after and it is our responsibility to see that we are freed. He has given us the spiritual weapons to achieve this. Gal 5:24, 2 Cor. 10:4, 5

23. From Paul's experiences, in confirming all the above, he is sending a strong message to the church that your titles, academic achievements and the operation of their gifts which are given of God and are without repentance – he himself being an academic; he counted his achievements as but dung so that he could win Christ. We must do the same by working on our character flaws.

24. The church must rearrange it's priorities to ensure that Christian character is built first before going in pursuit of their gifting. This has been a serious misconception in the church and it must be addressed if the church is to flow in the level of power God ordained it to be; so that Great revival can break forth and in the process many will be set free. Eph. 4:13; Isa 6:1-9

25. It is therefore correct to say;

i. If there is no deliverance, there can be no victory.

ii. No warfare, no freedom from your bondages which would prevent you from completing your course.

iii. Without Christian character, we cannot manifest the fruit of the spirit and stay on course as a son should. Gal. 5L22, 23

iv. Every born again believer and minister of the gospel operating in their respective giftings are all in the race to win the prize and must press forward, just as Paul pressed with every fiber of his being so that he would not have labored in vain. Mark 13:13, Job 7:9, Phil 2:16, Rev. 3:5, Phil 3:14-17

v. Only those that overcome are sons, see Rev. 21:7

26. Paul in his homerun, said in 2:Tim. 4:7, I have fought a good fight, I have Finished my course, I have kept the faith: hence there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only but unto all them also that love His appearing.

Question: Can we also say with confidence, that we have fought a good fight we have finished our course? Let us take a fresh deep look at our own lives to see what character flaws still remain and make a commitment to begin to aggressively dealing with them through the process of spiritual warfare.

27. The church must now take serious heed to the above as we are not by any means exempt from the Cecilialess attacks that the enemy has been steadily launching at the believers.

28. This book is a true life story that centers around a mighty man of God who like us all was in the race of life and has now become a casualty of war adding to the thousands of ministers who have fallen.

Apostle Hosea, a mighty man of God has been in the deliverance field for over thirty-two years with a heavy anointing on his life (from the age of 16). He has ministered throughout the islands of the West Indies, throughout North America bringing healing and deliverance to thousands of souls from their bondages. As stated above, he became a casualty because of his failure to deal with his character flaws of lust, perversion, pride, rejection, deep hurts, soul-ties, generational curses that are still in operation in his life.

He had a thorough knowledge of the word, highly gifted and anointed. He always spoke a revelatory word (all lined up with scripture) – an excellent teacher. None sitting under his teachings for one session remained the same. Many were saved and delivered under this heavy deliverance anointing. However, because Hosea failed to address his character issues over the many years of his ministry, his spiritual condition worsened because he refused wise counsel from many pastors and others who pleaded with him to take a self- evaluation of his life.

He has now lost the anointing and is presently living a tormented and restless life, blinded by self-deception, self-denial and is held captive by a powerful seducing, and lustful Jezebel spirit.

Question: Why? He has failed to exercise a decision of his will to repent and give up this Jezebel relationship. He was not desirous of engaging the enemy daily in heavy spiritual warfare – even though he taught this principle so well; not cultivating a healthy prayer life (a principle he taught very well), not dealing with serious character flaws which prevented him from establishing a solid fellowshipping relationship with the Lord. The powerful anointing he carried, (like many other ministers carry), caused him to be deceived in believing that he had no need to deal with his issues as he was ok. He thought that the anointing exempted him from undergoing his own character transformation.

Apostle Hosea, has become another statistic in the long list of ministers of the gospel and others in the body of Christ who have been taken out of the race in similar fashion.

In conclusion, I would simply say, our victorious walk with Christ rests squarely on our ability to endure to the end as Paul did.

Adversity (Excerpt from Dr. Mike Murdock)

When I talk about adversity, I am not talking about when you do not pay your income tax, and you get caught, and you have to pay the penalty.

Adversity is not when you get a ticket on the way to church because you were driving too fast. That has nothing to do with adversity. That is paying the penalty for rebelling against the laws of God. Often when we define adversity can really be traced to something that we have done in open defiance or rebellion against the known will of God.

Adversity is not when you cannot make a payment on something that you should not have borrowed money for in the first place. By the term "adversity" I am not talking about those things.

I want to talk about true adversity, adversity in areas of your heart: When your friends have turned their backs on you. When you have lost at love. When a relationship has deteriorated. When your ex-husband walks out on you and leaves you for a younger woman. When your wife gets involved with a man on her job-and it is ripping your heart out. When you lose your job, when you get fired, and you cannot find work; when your back is against the wall. When you have to sell your house, and it will not sell, and you are stuck with it. And you do not know where to go, or what to do. When you go to a healing line at a crusade, and you stand there for two hours, and everybody gets healed except you.

When it seems Satan has targeted, you like he did with Job. When I talk about adversity, I am talking about the times when you become the obvious target of a satanic strategy, a plot to destroy you — to obliterate your faith, to wipe out your hope. As Jesus said, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10).

It is true that Satan schedules is attacks. It is true that he does not attack everyone the same way at the same time for the same reason. I want to talk particularly about your adversity. I want to tell you about my own trails in this book, because I have come through so many of them. Adversity is when things go opposite of the way that you wanted them to go, opposite of the way that God told you they would go. Adversity is when circumstances are against you having something that The Word of God promised you would have. It is when Satan does everything within his power to stop the will of God from being accomplished and completed in your life. That is adversity. Adversity Is Opposition You Experience In The Pursuit of Your Assignment.

Though we are often blind to it, what we think of as adversity is really a vehicle that God will use to bring ultimate promotion to our lives. If Satan can distract you from your Assignment and from the Holy Spirit who walks beside you, you will fail. But look at this explosive Scripture passage: "But now thus saith the Lord, that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not," (Isaiah 43:1-2) Fear not. If God can keep you from fearing — fearing the faces of men, fearing loss, fearing failure — you will not know failure. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind," (2 Timothy 1:7).

So adversity produces a product, and adversity is part of the package. Adversity, Conflict And Struggle Are Proofs of An Enemy. Struggle is proof that there is an enemy. It is proof that somebody does not want you going where you are going. There is a reason for warfare. There is a reason for it, and there is a season for it. "When not if thou passest through the waters," (Isaiah 43:2). Why do you think that Jesus would have to pay price, but we would not? Why do we think that Reuben was the only person to have to go through the pit and the prison? Why do you think that Daniel was the only one falsely accused? Why do we think that all of these stories in the Bible are only for people 2,000 years ago? Were they ignorant people? Oh, you may say, "These were people before The Holy Spirit came.
