About the Author

Ruth lives in Lancashire with her husband and two young children. After studying psychology at UCLAN, Ruth has spent the last ten years working in HR. From a young age Ruth has loved to write. She showcased her active imagination when at ten years-old she would write her own newspaper articles. These mainly consisted of stories about a fantastic warrior princess saving the world or confirmation that fairies really do exist. These wild stories have continued to this day as she makes up fun bedtime stories for her children. After a conversation with her eldest son where she insisted he should have the confidence to pursue any career he wants, Ruth realised that she should actually follow her own advice and write the book she has always longed to write. Being an old romantic at heart and huge fan of women’s fiction, it’s only natural that this is the genre of stories Ruth loves to write about. When not writing or entertaining her two young boys, Ruth can be found down at the allotment or baking a number of treats in the kitchen.
