In Kamie Rohrbacker's book A Miniature Collection of Miniature Storiesthere are three flash fiction stories, "Locked In" is a heartfelt but sad story about a girl, Elle, coming to terms with the loss she feels for her ailing grandmother and her feelings of her being kept in a nursing home when that was not what she wanted. "Gray Puff" is light comedy about a young woman named Mary who has to learn to overcome her fears after setting out on her own and her father who tries to help her but ends up being less than helpful in the end. The final story, "Loss of Innocence", is a coming of age story about a boy in a small tribe in years past, like all of those before him he has to take a life, but can he really do it?
