Two Amish Stories of Love and Healing

A Man for Honor by Emma Miller

With four children and a dilapidated farmhouse, Amish widow Honor King asks a matchmaker to find her a new husband. But when Luke Weaver, her first love who left her at the altar, returns to town hoping to win her back, Honor’s determined not to let him into her life. Hammer in hand, he’ll fix her home…but it’ll take more than brawn and nails to mend her heart.

Plain Jeopardy by Alison Stone

Reporter Grace Miller’s Amish hometown seems the perfect place to recuperate from surgery—until a tragedy puts her on the trail of her mother’s long-unsolved murder. Now, with someone’s lethal sights set on Grace, police captain Conner Gates drops everything to protect her. But as they delve into the past, can they face down the dangerous foe threatening to turn their blossoming love into a deadly trap?

About the Author

Emma Miller lives quietly in her old farmhouse in rural Delaware amid fertile fields and lush woodlands. Fortunate enough to be born into a family of strong faith, she grew up on a dairy farm, surrounded by loving parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Emma was educated in local schools, and once taught in an Amish schoolhouse much like the one at Seven Poplars. When she's not caring for her large family, reading and writing are her favorite pastimes.
Alison Stone has an industrial engineering degree from Georgia Tech. She traded her corporate career for motherhood, and eventually discovered a passion for writing. Alison lives in Western New York with her husband of twenty years and their four children where the summers are gorgeous and the winters are perfect for curling up with a good book—or writing one.
