Tennille Young, is now prepared to bare her soul through the graphically intimate music of her new album, “Ideal Thoughts”. Created in the wake of an intense relationship, the album’s rather “blue” content reflects the freedom and fearlessness she felt then combined with what she feels now. “He changed my writing,” she said. “Everything I felt negative about myself he made into a positive.”
Secrete Emotions said her name only describes exactly what she does with her words. “I’m secreting my emotions and ‘Ideal Thoughts’ is just the best of what came out of me.” This depth of honesty she shares so easily makes Secrete a hypnotizing figure on CD and on stage. Secrete Emotions has been performing steadily on major stages since 2004, from the DMV area to Philadelphia and L.A. Accustomed to performing with a variety of live bands and programmed music, Secrete is very excited about the release of “Ideal Thoughts” in October 2010, and its corresponding book.
The textures of physical intimacy that permeate the album make the mind relive every sweet part of what you’ve had and desire what you want that much more. The songs shift with intent in subtle ways that come across at times soulful, like “Quickie” featuring upcoming soul phenom Duff, to the pure R&B of “To You”, and Hip-Hop’s aggressiveness in “Your Touch”. “I just want my music to make you feel like you’re going to bust the best nut of your life!”
