Overview

Kamona Burton-Whorley had a hard life growing up with no one to protect her. Her Mother was addicted to drugs, her father was absent purposely. She was touch by many inappropriately; she was molested, Raped & abused by some of the closes people's she trusted & knew.. Life with God has taught her different, and how to escape depression & pain; but she still have questions that has no answers that still remains... She was raised in poverty having nothing but her name learning everything from the streets, from collecting aluminum cans, having sex with a drug dealer; so her little brother & her could eat.. She had to become a mother before time by raising her little brother because of her mother's drug abuse; having thoughts of suicide, didn't want to live, she would always shrugged her shoulders saying "WHAT THE USE". To "live" that is! with the pain that constantly reminds her she's not safe; she don't trust man or women because the both violated her in a nasty way. Kamona had no voice; because of fear, the threats & broken promises was more painful for anyone to hear. Winter nights with no heat or electricity; made her pile dirty clothes on top of her brother & herself to feel some warm relief. Late night smells traveled through the house, the aroma of "Crack" made her cover her nose & mouth. This book will take you on a journey so buckle up and lets ride, try to hold all your tears till the end and just know that she survived...
