The book, A Little Boy Named Collin Bean is about a little boy who loves to make friends. However, due to his cerebral palsy he has limited mobility. A goblin named Prixstar appears to make his wishes come true. They fly over the hills, into the mountains, and down the ocean side to meet new friends. Collin Bean makes friends and together they build a sand castle to call their new home. Everyone loves many different activities. Then a storm destroys all that they have built and everyone is devastated. Their friendship and determination help them realize their dreams. Collin Bean and his friends rebuild their castle and together they start many adventures full of fun and laughter.

About the Author

Zenaida Alota Roxas is a mother to Ramon Jr., Raquel, Rosemarie, and Margarita and a grandmother to Collin, who serves as the greatest pillar to their family, Rylee, Claire, and Miles. Collin who inspires the creation of this book is a sweet boy with an iron clad determination to beat the odds of cerebral palsy. He motivates other children socially and intellectually.

“I keep growing up with my children and now with my grandchildren. I learn something new every day when I’m with them,” she states.

She realizes that the flame of her old passion is still burning and starts scribbling passages which become foundational in this book.

Zenaida graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She receives her Master’s in Business Administration with concentration in Public Administration and Program Management while finishing her PhD in Clinical Psychology.

Zenaida loves reading and writing and during her free time she loves to cook and bake for her friends and family. Someday, she hopes to cultivate a beautiful garden using organic tools and materials to enhance greenality even in her own backyard.
