All her life, Landon was the number one in her mother's eyes. She had to be the best at everything; she was the star soccer athlete and the top scholar at her high school. She started a relationship in high school that was kept a secret from her mom, but once her mom got wind of it, Landon had to be the perfect girlfriend too. She could never fail, she could never disappoint, she could never have a single flaw. She tried to be perfect in everything she did.
Fast forward six years and Landon has unintentionally gone against her mother's wishes: she no longer plays soccer, she ended college with a below-average GPA for her program, and she and her boyfriend-turned-fiance of seven years ended things. Now on a path of self-sabotage and feelings of inadequacy, Landon is learning how she can now take back control of her life from her mom. Through the ups and downs of mental illnesses, Landon is learning to love herself again, but will it be enough for the ones she holds close?
