About the Author

Frank E. Dobson, Jr., Ph.D. co-author of the Black Legacy Lessons book series, is an educator based in Ohio who hails from Buffalo, New York. Frank has published two novels, Rendered Invisible: Stories of Blacks & Whites, Love & Death (2010, Plain View Press) and The Race is Not Given (1999, Sterling House). Frank works at Otterbein University, as Interim Chief Diversity Officer, where he loves teaching and working with students. He also has a passion for community service.



Jasmin N. Dobson, M.S.Ed., co-author of the Black Legacy Lessons book series, is a Chicago, Illinois educator and career coach who has been involved in film, social media, and civic engagement. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and Northern Illinois University. Jasmin has a passion for children’s literature and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She enjoys giving back to her community and mentoring youth.
