About the Author

The author of this book was born in British Guiana, which is now known as Guyana, located in South America. She has obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master's degree in Adult Education. Since moving to Florida, the author has become a Certified Florida Supreme Court, County, Family, and Civil Circuit Mediator and Arbitrator. She immigrated to the United States in 1970 and worked in a governmental agency for over 30 years. Her last position was as the Director of Labor Relations for one of New York State's Mental Health Institutions. In this role, she tirelessly advocated for the state of New York in Disciplinary and Grievance Proceedings. After taking early retirement in 2001, she moved with her family to Florida, where she currently resides. Over the past 16 years, she has successfully mediated pre-trial, family, and circuit cases for the 20th Judicial Circuit with remarkable success.
