About the Author

A Journey Through My Mind is Sandras first book. But she is no stranger to friends and family who are fans of her poetry for several decades. Her book, with her variety of subjects reflecting a myriad of emotional experiences, are bound to appeal to people from all walks of life, and a new generation of poetry lovers alike.

Writing has always been something that her grandma feels is a blessing from God to her. She has the ability to write words about individual emotions from her own experiences in words that flow from her heart just as a normal individual speaks. Although this is her first attempt at publication, she believes that with her faith and Gods Divine guidance and blessing, it will be a smashing success.

She is the oldest daughter of Samuel and Dorothy Bonner Roney (both deceased), the granddaughter of Harvey and Edna Mason Bonner (both deceased), and Leroy and Ezlen Pemberton Roney (both deceased). She is divorced and a mother of two, a son (Russell) and a daughter (Tanisha), three granddaughters (Jasmine, Emerald, and Tivian). She has a stepmother, one brother, three stepbrothers, one sister, one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and one stepsister. She has 3 aunts, 3 uncles, 1 great aunt, several nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews, and many, many cousins.

She is a disabled veteran of the United States Army, a graduate of the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Business Management (Class of 1997), a graduate of Elizabethtown Community College (the University of Kentucky) in Elizabethtown, Kentucky with an Associate of Applied Science in Business Management (Class of 1994), a member of Psi Sigma Epsilon marketing fraternity, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Queen of the South, and the Golden Circle.

It has been her lifelong desire to have her poetry published for the world to read. She has always felt as though there is at least one of her poems that touches someone or reflects on the lives of several people in this world.
