About the Author

M. P. CAVANAUGH was a high school English teacher until she began teaching courses on Reading and Writing across the Curriculum and Children's Literature and Language Arts at the college level. She is Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at John Carroll University in Ohio. Her current research interests are in ESL and the history of bilingual education.
