Cait Murray is well aware of how precious time can be. Presently, she finds herself running from the man who kidnapped and forced her to marry against her will.
Jak MacGregor has also found himself coerced into a marriage that he never wanted. Now on behalf of his liege laird, Jak embarks on a quest to the Murray clan lands. However, on his way, he comes across Lady Cait who is desperately fleeing for her life. During his brave attempt to save the damsel in distress, Jak is seriously wounded.
