Aliette grew up in Miami Florida where she fell in love with writing as a young girl. She attended Florida State University where she majored in English Literature. In 2010 she graduated with her Master's Degree in English Education. She currently lives in Texas with her husband, daughter Gianna and her pit bull Chulo.
