Sanja Rescek graduated from the School of applied Arts, then studied atthe academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. In competition with 47 renowned artists, Sanja won the Grigor Vitez Award for best children's book illustrator in 2003. She is also a winner of the Wellcome Award given by the Association of Visual artists of Croatia and the award given by the public at Interliber Book Fair for 2004.
