The day started out just like most of my days off during winter. I went through the regular routine and sat down at my computer staring at my screen saver drinking my coffee. As I stared a feeling of envy and jealousy snuck it's way up. My screen saver is one I made consisting of characters from games I play and pictures off the internet. The pictures are all females that I envy because I feel as though I should have been born one. Because of these feelings I have tried, unsuccessfully, many times to alter myself physically and in appearance to look like I feel I should have.
The longer I sat there staring the stronger the feelings became and knowing myself I knew that depression wasn't far behind. So I bumped my mouse and let my desktop come to life. I opened up one of the many MMORPG's (massively multiplayer role playing game) I play. As my game is loading up I hear a knock at the door, knowing my room mate is awake and not five feet away from the door I decided to just let her get it. I hear the delivery guy flirting with her and somewhere deep down I find myself wishing it was me.
I tuned out what I was hearing at the door as I was hoping to have a decent day when I heard Shelly knock on my door. "Mike you have a package, looks like another gadget for your show." I make my money mostly off my YouTube channel showcasing new and exciting tech toys. The rest of my money comes from the comic book shop I work at. I know, I know living with a roommate and working at a comic shop I can hear the looser jokes brimming to the surface now. In a world where people like me are mocked, ridiculed or even killed for trying to be true to themselves a job at a comic shop is safe.
Shelly sat the box on the floor next to me and sat on the floor waiting to see what new toy I have now. She always loved watching me un-box new gadgets, most of the time she helped me test them out so that I would have a varying view for the show. As she sat there waiting she said "This is from a new company, Dreamer Games Inc." this grabbed my attention I hadn't had a new company in a long time especially a gaming company.
"Alright, let's take a look at what Dreamer Games sent us." I grabbed my box cutter and opened the seal on the box. There stacked neatly on their side was four boxes of the same product with an envelope laid on top of them. I grabbed the envelope and took a look at it's contents first as Shelly sat there looking in the box trying to figure out what we got, she has never just grabbed for something out of everything we have tested. The contents of the envelope were a letter of introduction and product spec sheet and a product usage sheet that would be in the package.
