A Fool and His Boots

In the Spring of 2001, I strapped on a backpack and attempted to hike the entire length of the Appalachian Trail. I made it as far as Damascus, Virginia.

In the Summer of 2002, I returned to pick up where I had left off. I hiked southern Virginia that year.

Here is my trail journal from that hike. It is the second of eight.

About the Author

Who am I? I'm a lover of sci-fi and fantasy fiction as well as a fan of classic movies. I'm a self-proclaimed royal historian of Oz as well as the self-proclaimed emperor of Canada and, yes, I'm completely full of it. I like to think that I'm a sterling example of person with Asperger's syndrome. It may be more trouble than it's worth but it lends me and my writing a distinctive perspective. I live in the real-life fairy country along the border between Delaware and Pennsylvania. Although, during the summers, I like to throw on a backpack and go walking among the mountains. Oh, one last thing. I love reviews. I want feedback. Good, bad or trollish, I welcome all of it. If you've read something that I wrote then please review it! Tell me what you think! Be honest! Be brutal! If you loved it, tell me. If you hated it, tell me. I don't charge any money; is a review too much too ask. I'm starting to ramble. It's time to stop.
