About the Author

Jillian and her husband have been blessed with three sons, all with creative and active imaginations. They live together in Illinois and are active in their church and community. Creating stories has been a long tradition in Jillian's home, starting in her childhood. "A Foggy Friendship" is her first published story and is a tribute to her dad, Jay Henry.

Jay first created the character Dense Fog while on a paper route at 3:00 a.m. It was a foggy day, and to his children's surprise, Jay started talking in a comical voice: "Nope, nope, nope, I'm not going up there. " Dense Fog quickly became a favorite around their household and is now a cherished memory they all hold dear.

Shelby is a self-taught artist who has experimented with various mediums. She first learned digital art in 2017, and fell in love with book illustrating during the process of illustrating "Treasure Island" for a school project. "A Foggy Friendship" is Shelby's first collaborative work with an author and first professionally published project.
